India Wins the ICC Cricket Worldcup 2011...

Indian defeated Sri Lanka in the Final of ICC cricket world cup 2011. The final was played on 2 April, Saturday 2011 in the Wankhede stadium. In the Final, Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangkara won the re-toss and decided to bat first. Sri Lankan started playing cautiously and score the mere 31 in first 10 overs for the loss of opner Upal tharanga.....Dilsan and Sangkara then played well ...thanks to the some final overs power play burst from Sri lankan lower middle order and brilliant century from Mahela jayawardane they manage to score 274 and a very competitive total 275 was set for India to become the next new world champs...

India started their inning in most disastrous note and lost the important wickets of their openers Sehwag and Sachin within the 30 runs. here came the two of the most consistent Indian since last one and half years, Gambhir and Virat and make Indian score to 113 before virat got out by brilliant catch on his own bowling by Dilshan..after that, The Indian captain MS dhoni came at no 4 ahead of the inform Youvraj singh and then along with Gambhir they batted brilliantly to almost make India home..but when Gambhir was playing at 97, in blood of rush he attempted a shot over the mid wicket and the stumps were disturbed. He was clean bowled..After that, Dhoni and Yuvi scored very comfortably the necessary runs. Finally Dhoni sealed the Cup and makes the history for him, for India, For Sachin anf For 1.2 billion Indians....with a massive SIX... India won the world cup after a long wait of over 28 years....
